And if you're interested I found the vests around HERE, I haven't ordered from them so I can't back the dealer up though.

It looks like that armor wouldn't allow you to move very well since there's next to no space between the plates, but if you modified the design some and vacuum-form it out of thick white ABS, it would be perfectly playable. Yeah tottaly, but I think ataching the vacuum formed (or resin formed) outer plates to a interceptor (which is practicly the same thing) would give you so much more mobility hence the vest's padding. Ofcourse the vest wouldnt have panels, and ataching the outer armor via molle would give you tremendous abillity to customize the vest itself, especialy if you made the outer armor in multiple sections.That would allow you to take off certian sections and add pouches and other molle devices.

I might actually try tackling this, any sugestions on a cheap interceptor, ways to atach molle, markings, ect?

I have a geniune SADF vest in that colour if you want to buy one in canada instead of giving your cerdit card information to a .za website. thats prettyclose to where those shitty african credit card and email frauds have been coming from. only prob it the back end of the bottom buckle got shot out, you can replace it easy and for like a dollar, I'm just to lazy. the buckle still works though and doesn't look broken from another persons angle,

I made an MNU head honcho loadout and play in it, galil and all it's pretty awesome I turn heads. but now i have to use my teams uniform so if any of you want to buy one PM me.

also MNU IS like the UN. the soldiers in black are MNU personel.
the guys in the SADF garbs are the "First Reaction Battalion" a pmc company hired to provide extra support during the prawn relocation from district 9 so you guys are bothe right.

I plan on tackling the vest this summer, from scratch.

Pretty much :

1) Bodycast
2) Clay Sculpt
3) Silicon Mold
4) Rubber casts

Should work well and give a good freedom of mouvements.

On a side note, Weta is freakin slow for shipping. Ordered a pair of First Reaction Force Batallion patches.
