ICS MP5 SD5

Hey,
Just got two questions about the ICS MP5 SD5 I was hoping someone could help me out with. When I flip the selector switch from safe to a firing mode it always skips past single fire without a click or anything, I have to carefully watch where I'm putting the selector switch if I want single shot. I would have thought that it would click into place at all options, but it only clicks into place at safe and auto, can I get something to fix this? The internal barrel of the gun only extends to the end of the foregrip, ie. it ends at the beginning of the silencer so there is nothing actually guiding the BB once it gets into the silencer, I want to extend my internal barrel so it goes all the way to the end of the silencer so the BB has guidance right until it exits the gun, is this something I can do? Thanks to all who help.

I've got the ICS SD5 as well. The selector detent on mine is a little 'soft' as well. I've gotten used to it and haven't really looked into fixing it.

As for the inner barrel, just measure how long of a barrel you would need in order for it to extend to the full length of the silencer and then see if you can find one that's relatively close to that length.

The fact that the inner barrel does end before the silencer allows the silencer to actually quiet the gun somewhat. Try it for yourself - unscrew the silencer and then fire the gun; you'll notice a difference. Extending the barrel into the silencer will negate the quieting. If you don't really care about the sound then it's no big deal.

Imo though, it's not worth the extra money to go out and buy a new barrel for a couple of extra inches. I went and bought a stock length tightbore barrel and that works just fine.

I'm the same way, but as a rule of thumb, if I spend $100 on a tightbore, I usually make that tightbore count and buy a couple extra inches. When I have a silencer laying around, of course.

I'm looking at the SD for myself as well, and was wondering what kind of performance you're getting with the mp5 length tightbores? I'm most interested in max distance and grouping at 20-30ft.

please rember when increasing barrel length that unless you want to change out the cyclinder type to to match you have to keep it close to manifactured spec http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=6677 please check this link for related info. Take note of cyclinder fill vrs barrel fill. Hope this helps

I just purchased the ICS MP5 SD5 and I noticed quite a bit of wobble when I screw the silencer on. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a JG Mp5sd5, with a B&T CA all metal front end. i found that a 300mm barrel fits just right, length wise, its about 2-3mm into the suppressor..... and as far as cylinder length, is not an issue with adding a couple extra inches to the gun.

hope this helps.

Does anyone have a part diagram for the ICS Mp5 SD5? I found another thread that linked the TM diagram, but the link did not work, thanks!
