If you're going to be importing one brand new, I'd go with the ICS. The JG is basically a clone of the TM and just as good if you're looking to source a Hurricane body (which is...difficult).

cybergun-JG essentially the same
Your going to be doing some heavy overhaul mods to it,whichever one you decide which one you buy so it wont matter, But the JG has stronger internals than the cybergun. I am currently undergoing a overhaul for my SIG.
-Tightbore
-Metal shims
-Metal piston
the works and soon enough...
goin li-po.

bottom line either one wont last you forever there both good apparently there exactly the same performance wise stock but either way your going to have to mod it.

I was told that the Cybergun version is made of really cheap plastic, that breaks fairly easily.

It is, I have gone through a 1 lower receiver and the upper cracked the other day. They work well otherwise, are fairly accurate and fairly quiet actually. I've been looking for a hurricane metal body but like stated they are hard to find and expensive when you do (250-300ish). They are good starter guns but you have to be gentle with em. I only have one because it was almost free. Cool gun tho.

If you're going to get a SiG552, do yourself a favour and get the ICS version if you can. It already comes with a full metal body and fully coloured, so you're not dishing out all of or a good portion of your paycheque for a metal body on a clearsoft. The CyberGun clearsoft (readily available at any retailer for the most part) is a good entry level gun in terms of performance, but the actual durability of it is less than satisfactory in my books. Yes, the plastic body is kind of flimsy. You have to be a little cautious with it. The CyberGun552 is not the kind of gun you can drop from 8 feet high and expect it to come out sparkly. My CyberGun SiG552 functioned quite well with all stock parts in it. I'm only now just recently upgrading the internals to get it set as a high-torque build.

Later today/early tomorrow I'll write a huge review on the CyberGun SiG552 including all the positive and negatives on the gun, and just general pros and cons of owning any SiG552. I'd do a review on the ICS SiG552, but I don't own one, and since the CyberGun SiG552 is easily obtainable as an entry level gun, I think it'd help with a lot of starter players.

One of the sweetest SIG 552s I've worked on (ok, the only one, but of all the AEGs I've dealt with over the years), was the TM one, I upgraded it with a Modify 100 spring, bearing spring guide and 6.03mm tightbore, it shot around 360fps and was a freaking tackdriver, seriously full mags on full auto would net 2" groups at 30ft (which is amazing for any AEG).

I'm a purist, go for the TM.
