i though the C meant that it was compensated. this usually translates itself to a ported slide of some sort. on auto guns, its done so as to cool down the barrel. on standard guns, it "parts" the blast from the gun and allows you to maintain a sight picture. i believe that ASC user Johnny Rico has and avatar showing this.
So with regards to the Glock 18C. The Glock 18 is an auto pistol, but the C denotes that it is compensated. in this case, it has a ported slide.
