So long as your voltage is 7.2 it doesn't make a lick of difference how many MA your battery makes, all that is is the size of it's stored energy. IE: a 1000ma battery will last 2x longer than a stock one.

If it's a cheap motor like is found in cheap toy cars, then the drive gear is probably just pressed on, most of those cheap motors dont even have a wedge on them, they are just press fitted and tight.
