Cyma 030 aep

I bought the CYMA .030 aep Glock for a few bucks and I wouldn't say I would use it on the field its really just good for shooting in and around the house. I was thinking of making an external battery. The stock battery is 500 mAh 7.2v. If a pieced together 7 nimh AA's will the motor burn out in a big hurry? The output would be 7.2 volts and 2500 mAh with that setup. I don't think ill see parts for this gun.
