Anything you've done to the connectors, such as swap over from a small connector to a large Tamiya? If so, you should know that the small connectors are wired opposite to the large ones (in which case you just opposite wired your motor). Is my guess if you modded it at all, because when you pull the trigger, the motor will try to spin the other way, but the gears won't let it because of the anti-reversal latch, causing more current to be drawn by the motor and blowing your fuse.
