I daresay the Tanaka M700/AICS is a little bit more than a "hollow chunk of plastic" or "useless". It weighs nearly 10 pounds, unloaded and unscoped - that's 3 pounds MORE than a real-steel M700 BDL! When you have people regularly getting 120+ yard kills and 8"-10" groupings at 60 yards with a 600 fps monster, I'll take the "wait-and-see" approach to determine if the STAR model is capable of that kind of performance.
