When I got my VSR a few weeks after they were originally released I sourced a laylax 150 spring and did the upgrade myself. I had some teflon tape here and tefloned any threaded join when I put it back together. My gun shot just as hard as another local sniper's VSR with a Laylax 170 spring and no teflon... His gun had a few other issues as well, but that was when he was first learning to upgrade. Anyway, I took his gun apart, tefloned it all up and it started firing great. It made a massive difference on my VSR so it stands to reason that it is a good mod. Amazing what a bit of teflon tape can do...
