The Bolt Catch issue (sorry not mag release.. that is fine) was an easy fix as well.. the lever on the mags was not pushing up on the bolt catch enough for it to engage the bolt and lock back. I super glued a small piece of credit card to the bolt catch and off we go a locking bolt! 
So all in all.. a shim here and a shim there and the gun is working great. |
Now that just confirms that your mag catch is worn, bent or broken.
You can install real mag catches in all of WE GBBRs.
It is VERY rare that more than 1 mag have the same symptom. Plus your bolt not locking, all point to the single part that does not hold the mags high enough -> mag catch.
