Thanks for the replies so far. (except pusangani)

Superhog: A G36 is something I have looked at but haven't experienced yet. There do seem to be some smaller designs that might suit my need.

Wildcard: Yes I will try and not buy cheaper clones guns. I do like the MP5/MP5K. I'm also quite fond of the G3 SAS.
I will definitely be sticking with an AEG for now.

HackD: Yes, the M4 seems to be the obvious choice that I see the most of...and I don't require a folding stock...just adjustable/retractable/telescopic...whatever it's called. A nice smaller M4 might do nicely for me, yes.
