Best thing you could do buddy, is just take out the spring box, and replace it with a hollow cylinder or anything that can fit in there, put a plate on top and on the bottom, drill the top one, put a screw in the bottom, and it should work.
I believe cutting the box voids your warranty.
OR you could just get that spare part from another revolver
Then you could swap back your modified box with the original one.
