Or if you want some helpful advice, take the upper off and check that the fake bolt is sitting in the little plastic groove properly. Looks from the pics like it isn't.
The spring should pulling forward on it in a straight line, not at an angle. When you put it back together, hold your finger against it to hold it in place, then carefully slide the upper back onto the lower.
It can be finnicky, might take a couple tries to get it.
