If this radio has the U229U receptacle (it looks like it does) then I have a Peltor dual comm PTT with with U229U barrel plugs that I can part with. I had Peltor make me a dual Kenwood plug PTT (both PTT's are single downead to PTT, then dual down to radios) to use with the radios I have now.
I remember always wanting a smaller, lighter radio when I was in the US Air Force, so seems funny that people would want the bigger, heavier one. But I do understand that people want to make an accurate impression.
Now if the replica would duplicate the actual 148 functions, and do AM/FM, HF up to UHF, I'd get one just for that, since a real one is around $7k USD. (
