To go back to Long_Bong question it's positioned on the rightbecause of chinese way, which is actually not stupid at all.

Basically with the mag release there tou can actually force the mag out easily if a jam occurs (beer can grip to quote Mylord Travis Haley, indexing mags is a pain on bulpup, at least for me). I tried a FAMAS 1st gen (RS) with straight mag it's actually a pain in the ass to get out with severe jamming.

On bulpup the best thing would definitely be a secondary trigger (like an EGLM) in front of the first one to act as mag release.
I'm actually working on a rifle with such features in fact.
