Nope its not a design flaw, sadly thats how it was made which I assume which is the reason not many Real Steel owners (aside from the hardcore Chinese) would get one of these.

Although it may seem tedious to have the mag release button where it is, I would say it still is better than the P90.

I have owned a P90 and also tried the Type 97B, I would choose the Type 97B as I find the mag reloading is much easier than the P90. I remember when using the P90 and mag reloading was extremely tedious and really hard especially when the enemy is advancing against you.

The good thing about the P90 is its super light, I never got tired of carrying it around and during outdoor games I can easily run with it in one hand while jumping or climbing over things. The only problem is if you don't get a rubber stock pad it becomes quite uncomfortable to shoulder after awhile since I find you really have scrunch your shoulders and arms close to get a good aim down range.
