I take it that this is American stock since it has orange paint.

I had this problem as well with many US guns, that the people who apply the orange paint for some reason put epoxy or jb weld in with the threads as well afterwards to overly conform to the US gun laws that the orange tip cannot be removed...

Eventually I had to saw and dremel my G36 flashider completely in half and pry the two halves apart in vice had to buy a brand flashhider in the end.

I'm curious though, if you do buy a new barrel set, I would like to purchase your old CA one if possible. I have a G36 project that needs one to complete, stuck flashider or otherwise.
