Game Day Preparedness

So after reading the " Clear guns and the death... thread" I am wondering if I'm prepared for the Rawdon game next Saturday. So rather that face the "wrath" and dissaproval of other players at the event I'd like to ask for the imput of the veteran players to see what they think?

I am bringing;

G&G M4-primary
A&k M249-backup

Tm Mkm23

Spare batteries, gas, propane adpator, and extra mags for all guns.
bb's
Bdu's
Tactical rig
Boonie cap
tool kit
boots
6L of water ( is this enough if its hot)
2 bottles of gatoraid (electrolites baby)
jerky
IMP
2 sets of eye protection
garbadge bags
cooler with ice
first aid kit

Anything that I am missing or that is suggested?

Sunscreen would be a good idea and maybe bug spray as well. I know its a sandpit, but there are thick wooded areas surrounding the field as well. Your list looks good otherwise.

You should get an hydration pack. I played there last year and Hydration must have item on the list since the field is somehow far from the packing so come back pick up more bottle is not a good idea plus 6 L of water is hard to carry to the field.

Replace the IMP with a good lunch lol

And bring spare socks

wildcard August 8th, 2009 22:14

bug spray, comfortable sandals to change to and a spare change of clothes

The only thing I would include would be extra bootlaces, and put your socks in a ziplock bag.

What do you consider a good lunch? I kinda like Imp's. And won't a "good " lunch spoil in the heat?
I have a hydration pack in the mail....hope it get to me before game day.

Well good lunch mean food that cook or prepare by girlfriend or wife for you before game. :D

Actually, Sandwich would be enough but I prefer rice like with vegetable.

I'd bring a small sewing kit just incase.
And/or extra BDU's perhaps

Eeyore August 8th, 2009 22:37

Hmmm, good idea. I have an extra set of kiddie camos.

IMP's are an insane amount of calories meant for soldiers that are going to be exerting themselves all day...

I wouldn't recommend them for anything short of a 24 hour milsim.

However, if there is one thing you want to have available @ a Rawdon game, it's surplus energy to burn. If the fellow isn't a walking tub of lard and he wants to try one out for a game, then what's the harm?

*Apologies to any tubs that take offence to the above comment, nothing personal.

There's no harm that can come from an IMP... unless it's expired lol

I'm just saying that IMP's aren't a necessary part of airsoft, a normal hand-packed lunch will do just fine.
