will they work in a v3 mechbox?

They should, but PM Jugglez who has had a wack load of experience with these gear sets (ver.2,3,and 5, all use the same gear sizes, you might have problems with the shell).

well im talking to him right now, but he needs a pic of my gear box which i cant do. Last time i checked their wasnt any raised parts in my sl8 shell but im not to sure at this time

If you can get them to fit, you'll love them. No shimming and super-smooth operation. I love them. Too bad my mechboxes in my main guns are all reinforced and can't take them anymore.
