Close quarters weapon

I have an m16 and only an m16, and naturally its becomes to Long in some situations. As much as I love Armalites I want a smaller gun. I have been reading up on mp5's I want to choose between the sd6 (JingGong) and the k (galaxy) most reviews all agree that they are very good for close quarters. Some say the K is a good side, some say it can be used as an effective primary but the sd6 looks like a comfortable gun. Reviews are helpful, but they don't compare guns like threads do. Just like to know which would be better.

go with the sd6 JG much better quality

Sorry to go off the mark a bit, but why not get some sort of M4 instead? Don't have to buy new mags that way.

+1 on interchangeable mags

got the m16 for 230, What do I need for an m4 conversion? Looks like I could slide the front assembly back along the outer barrel and put m4 grips on, the barrel would stick out a bit but that can be fixed, has it been done before?

I just think its pointless to buy another armalite

Amos April 13th, 2008 22:54

... Why?

If you want to play CQB, You'll have to open up the gearbox, switch out springs, re-adjust your hopup, completely change your outer and inner barrel/ Hopup assembly...

You basically need 1/2 an armalite to do this.. Why not just go out and buy another one.. especially if you can get 'em for 230.. (I assume you're an American)

Why not just get the JBU MIL4 CQB Tactical Conversion Kit for M16?

ThunderCactus April 13th, 2008 23:03

+2 on interchangeable mags, saves alot of money. The cheap MP5 mags suck, and this way you really only have to buy good M4 mags once for all your guns lol

xsnipes April 13th, 2008 23:13

Am I American, no can I get this again for 230, probably not. I got this used from my buddy I don't know where he got it. How long ago was it that you could ship an airsoft gun in from the U.S.?

I'm not trying to threadjack here - but I just have a quick question for Sepulcrum regarding his 416: Is is possible to switch out the collapsible stock with a solid stock and have the battery inside? And can the rails be removed from the fore grip (I like a less cluttered look...and I don't actually own a gun or any attachments yet :S)?

Again, apologies for OT, but I was just reading the thread and the question came to me!

oh and btw, has anybody had experience with King Arms 110 round g3 mags? My friend got a box set for 50 bucks from ehobby, and we tried shooting and they miss-fire like crazy, we oiled them a bit but they still don't work good.

Stock can be replaced, Crunchmeister did that a little while ago. The rail system is one solid cnced piece though, you can't take the rails off of it(if thats what you where referring to) though the entire rail system can be taken off in a matter of seconds.
