I have a stock P90 that I want to have parts available for outdoor gaming.

Therefore I want a tighbore and stronger spring. I have a P90 TR, so I also have the supressor. My question is, if I get a P90+ length barrel which fits (407mm) will I have problems with the stock mechbox/cylinder/cylinder head/piston/piston head? With almost doubling the barrel length, it seems like something would be bad. But I need some advice. Illusion, your ears are probably perking up.

I installed a 363MM in one of my P90s and it works with the stock cylinder.
I also installed a 455MM in my other P90 and cut 5MM off to make it fit correctly inside my silencer. There are several posts on this subject in the forums. But to make it esay for you just get one of the below cylinders.
All you have to do is buy a barrel XXX Lentgh and buy the below cylinder that matchs the length of your new barrel.
KM TN TAPER CYLINDER for AEG Barrel 200-400mm
KM TN TAPER CYLINDER for AEG Barrel 400-590mm

I''ve got a spare G&P SPR/a length barrel in my stock P90, no problems shooting, just had to find the right length of silencer to cover it all.

Also, did you get increased accuracy? I'm assuming you did but did it change much?

You can not just put any barrel on your P90.
Cylinders have ports to allow the BB to exit the barrel properly.
A long barrel on a cylinder made for a shorter barrel will cause the BBs to get suck back.

I have been doing a lot of messing about with my P90 and when it comes down to it, i almost wish I had kept it stock...haha
As for the longer barrel one of the first things I added was a Mad Bull 6.03mm Tightbore Barrel - 455mm and had no worries with it. I did not have a crono at the time so I could not tell you if it was faster, but it did seem to hit harder and farther, but it's hard to tell with only ones eyes.

I would NOT recommend going any higher than a ms90 spring with stock parts, I got a ms110 and it was really tearing apart my cylinder, as well I had to run a 9.6v bat with a stock extender and and and....

Do as much research as you can and get a good plan down first. You can get away with just about anything as long as you don't get a up the spring much. It's all expensive after that.

Wow, it looks like you paid WAY too much for your upgrade parts.

And if I was upgrading I'd put in a bearing spring guide, metal bushings, and an M100 spring. Maybe a 400mm tightbore like I said.

Should be no trouble regarding cylinder.

The cylinder used is the same one used in M4's, which are known to be able to use up to 407mm inner barrels with no problem. It's when you step up to the AK-47 length 455mm inner barrel - that's when you need to step up to a type-1 or full / non-ported cylinder

Alright thanks. Oh and to correct myself, the 407mm barrel I was talking about is an M4+ barrel, not P90+.

I have a Ak-47 barrel on my PS90, shoots very nice.
Stock gearbox pretty much, shims/bushing & 1J spring.

No issues. actually very precise. Got a dude in the goggles at 90+ ft. last game.
All I could see was his helmet and goggles.

Yah... got me on the hand while I was setting my hop-up too... over 100'...

Yeah, but that did not count... I was just shooting long burst at you cause we wanted to play the first round. :rolleyes:

Point is... see a P90 with a longer barrel = nice hit's...

With that setup, you might want to check your velocities in the middle or end of a full auto burst. There may be suck back with your setup. It's possible it may be avoided if you're running a tightbore inner barrel and a ventilated piston head.
