KSC G19 Hammer Replacement
Hey all! Long time no post.
Well, time to do the off season, (for me anyway), upgrades. I recently ordered up a propane adapter, (yes I know....I was a retard for buying green gas), a Recoil Spring, and a new fancy hammer. Now, the recoil spring is in, and works like a charm, it kicks quite nice. But I have NO idea how to swap out my old hammer for a new one. I did the search but can not find a document on KSC G19 hammer replacement. Can anyone give me some direction? Cheers! |
That's a more involved process that will require total disassembly of the lower part of the gun (from what I was told). I want to put an enhanced hammer spring in my KSC G17, and I think it's just more than I'm willing to do to my poor little gun for fear of killing it.
I also have a 190% hammer spring for my KJW M9 and haven't had the balls to tear that gun apart either. |
All I can say is have fun. Even though I've worked in that area of G19s about two dozen times, it still takes up at least half an hour to get it all back together. As said above, it's a VERY involved and frustrating process to get everything lined up (firing pin is the worst to keep in place) and held together while pushing the pin through.
Here's a question, what's wrong with your old hammer? |
I have this old UHC USP non-blockback gas pistol (piece of junk). It fell off my desk onto the floor a couple of months ago, and basically 'exploded' into a bunch of small parts sitting on the floor. I managed to get them all together and put them in a bag. Was only about a month ago that I got the balls to try to reassemble it. Took me about 3 hours of fucking with it, but finally figured out how everything fits together. And looking at the innards of my 2 GBB pistols and all the parts in the manual, I now know for sure that I have no intention of taking those apart without an experienced gun doc in my presence to guide me through it.

Nothing wrong with the old hammer, I don't think.
However I'm in the realms now to run propane, and have heard it takes a beating on the GBB. So I installed the upgraded recoil spring, and have yet to locate a metal slide. Is the stock hammer okay to run propane? |
with all of my glocks (all run on propane) the hammer was the last part to give me troubles. I would worry about part #87 before the hammer.

I used this one to do my G17 most of the glocks are close to the same hope this helps.

I've never heard of anyone replacing a Glock hammer to run propane.
In other words "The best way to keep a hard-on is to not fuck with it." |
I think maybe its the hammer spring?

Hmmm well than...I now have a spare hammer, super-duper!
=D Perhaps I'll be lucky enough and score one at the Convention later this month! Along with a metal slide...ooo yeah...yummy! Shpanks all! |
