CA SAR Taktik Vs. CA SLR105

I'm buying one of these tomorrow instead of upgrading my stock MP5K.

I've researched them to the best of my ability but have come across some inconsistencies.

Do both of them have the same gearbox/motor? Is one version 2 and the other version 3?

I only play 5 times a year and all indoors so I'm on the fence about the Taktik.

Thanks.

Then you should look into SAR Offizer

The SAR is V2, SLR is V3. Those are really the only performance considerations you have to take into account. Hopefully you're taking the trip to ASCA where you can hold both of them and get a feel, because that's the only thing that should be impacting your purchase decision beyond the mechbox versions. Oh, maybe the mags too. They're both unwieldy but in different dimensions.

PMs have been exchanged. I WILL be holding both before buying courtesy of ASCA.

Thanks for confirming about the versions.

That was my debate about a month ago.

I tried them both (and a lot other guns) at ASCA, I much preferred holding the SLR-105 over the SAR Taktik. Not saying the SAR Taktik is a bad gun, just saying I prefer the AK over the SG1 after holding it.

Will the experience stop me from getting a SG1 later on? Probably not, when I have enough disposable cash around, I'll probably get one. :D
