SAPI plates in chest rig
This style of chest rig seems to be pretty universal. I've seen Flecktarn, 6 desert, woodland etc. I was talking to Frag at a game on saturday and he was saying that these chest rigs can take plates. Just wondering if anyone has any expenience or knowledge about this.

:-D don't quote me on this ! lol
I see no reason why you can't add ballistic plate in it but not a SAPI, will need to be custom made. |
you never mentioned SAPI's they were the only replica plate I could find.

What would be the point?
We wear airsoft SAPIs to imitate what real guys wear. Afaik no one wears plates in just those chest rigs in real life (does that kind of plate exist?), they are not even tall enough to cover all your needed parts, if you wear it high it leaves your lower organs exposed, and vice versa, now obviously there are very tall and very short people where the above concepts do not apply, but I am speaking in general terms. |
a 10x10 cm kevlar plate is better than nothing so if it fits...
point is : in our club, as we simulate "armor" points, Nortons Heroes can have an extra hit... 'till I shoot him in the face... |
if your talking about the arktis vest, no it doesnt hold plates

If your looking for a Chest Rig that supports Sapi Plates...how about the Rhodesian Chest rig, Like the one from Proud Tactical just for example.

Frag is teaching me the ways of the plates and carriers. Thanks for the input and ideas.
