FMC Full-Metal Diemaco C8... a mere probability, or a miracle?

Hmm...
It seems a Taiwanese company, FMC, has decided to release a C8. This information is a bit different here, but while talking to the poster I realized that it's not 100% spot on, they DO make the Diemaco C8, and are willing to distribute them.
While not being an expert on these (actually, far from it), from what I can interpret and from my talking to David, this gun actually seems quite good.
Also, it seems that it comes with a battery charger and a pre-installed M120 spring.

This new AEG is supposedly 100% TM compatible, and all the parts they use are Guarder quality (Guarder is Taiwan company also, they cross produce each others products). The gear set I am using currently in my M4, are the FMC steel gear set, which only cost me $10 USD. You can expect the quality to be superb. The AEG also includes a metal body, which is laser engraved trademarks. The MSRP is only set at... $220 USD.

I will do a quick review on all FMC products:
QD Knights Silencer
QD Knights Silencer Short
Armalite Mag (Hi-Cap) MSRP- $15 USD
Green Laser (MSRP of less than $60)
Red Dot sight
Laser Engraved Metal Body
Metal M4A1 with Diemaco or HK trademarks
4 piece gear set
There are TONS of other products that they manufacture that will be coming after January. PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE THEM WITH ANY OTHER BRAND. They produce all of their own products. Hopefully the products will get here at the end of the month.

DO NOT SEND ME PMs or CONTACT ME FOR INFORMATION. Send David Yeah (the one who is in charge of this whole operation) an email. His email is: suntex11@seed.net.tw David Yeah is also a member of Arnies, under the name suntex01

STATICZERO contact David Yeah, he should be able to provide you one for review.

Thanks,
David

Ah...

Why can't they put a 110 M in it? Like... a stock gun with 120 m?

That's the only reason I didn't buy G&P. Wa-a-ay too hot for beginners - and with that price, there'll be alot of them with these.

m110 is another flavor...yes I am the guy who is part of FMC. Still in R&D boys and girls. Go to arnies for pictures.

Does a $220 USD full metal gun strike you fellas as a bit odd? How much care and how many quality parts must be going into these guns? Guarder quality? I would doubt that very much.

Cheesevillage January 6th, 2006 23:38

The actual guns might need to be sold for more than $220 USD for the company to make any measurable profit. I'm sure they also know making crap wont get them far in the "real" airsoft world. I would not be surprised if FMC was planning on taking a short term loss and a long term gain with the arrival of many new customers as the word about "cheap" yet reliable AEGs spreads.

Afterall, small profit per gun doesn't matter if they're shipping out hundreds per day.

does sound a little fishy but hey i would be up for it at that price

if you think about the logic of business in the orient, i'm not surprised. when you go to an electronics store and see a plasma tv for example selling for $1799, you think "yeah right, must be a p.o.s." but were did company x get the plasma cell and driver board? it may very well have come from company y, an independent producer of only those components who supplies the same parts for major manufacturers that you would feel very confident in their quality. this is only an example from consumer electronics and these practices are followed in every aspect of consumer products throughout asia. does a company like tm actually manufacture every single component for their guns. of course not. that would mean having large facilities for metalworks, plastics of varying type and r&d as well as assembly. it is utterly impossible and outside their thought bubble. the way these companies work is to find a supplier for gears, another one for body parts, another one for motors, etc. and then either they assemble themselves or go to a separate assembly plant. this is why so many parts in so many different guns from so many brands are either absolutely identical of are so similar as to have come from only 1 or maybe 2 places. we take for granted that a tm was actually made by tm and not someone else. this can also be said for companies like g&g, g&p and many smaller companies. does guarder actually make guarder parts or do they get gears from one supplier, spring from another, etc.? this is far more likely and if someone wants to use parts from the same guys who supply guarder, i say go for it. i wouldn't be too quick to judge just yet. time will tell if they're on the level or not.

Guarder margins are insane. Carl's selling his stuff for a hell of a lot lower than MSRP, and Guarder is of course still making some ridiculous bling off of even a relatively small number of sales.

First off, my friend is a retailer...you dont even know how much it cost to make a gun. The price just to manufacture 1 AEG is less than 40 USD. We do distribution in the US, so we know what we are talking about. Don't believe if you'd like, then we just wont distribute to Canada, if we see no interest :(

[Avtomat] January 8th, 2006 18:25

no no, bring your goodies here : D

Kid January 8th, 2006 18:26

Not going to distribute the Canadian gun to Canada?

Of cource there would be interest. Just need a review out to check up on the internals as most Canadians are hardasses (excuse the term) due to the cold weather up here - always skeptical of anything other than TM.

Send a few up! On Tru! On DE! On Dasher and Dancer! On Will! On Frank and Etc!
:xmas:
