VFC MK 16 Motor Wire?

Hi,

So in short the red wire that connects to the motor snapped (the metal part that connects to the motor, i think the positive connection?)

Can i get this wire from a retailer or can i contact VFC directly?

Does anyone know what this wire is called?

Do you mean this part?

(Note: two of those parts are straight, but the other two are bent to 90 degrees at the neck)

If so, you can order the part itself from airsoftparts.ca (ie. here), as well as electronic shops (ie. non-airsoft places that specialize in these kind of electronic parts). Alternately, you can cut off the damaged end, strip the wire, and sauder the wire directly to the terminal, but the obvious downside is that it makes swapping much more difficult (you would have to de-sauder the connection in order to remove the motor from the gun). It also raises the chance of damaging the motor, if you've never saudered anything before.

On a side note, I also recommend avoiding replacing the entire wire unless it's absolutely necessary; doing so will probably involve a ton of work, involving taking the entire gun apart.

Hope this helps! :)

There should be just enough slack to remove the old connector and solder a new one. Don't cut off too much of the existing wire, and don't just use a pair of pliers and try to crimp them onto the existing wire.
