Hpa tank carrier
 

Hey guys might be making the jump into hpa here soon and curious what guys are using to carry their tanks and regulators? Was gonna go with a Pantac minimap but kinds concerned it will be bit "floppy" with the minimal amount of pals on back of my mofocr chest rig. Other options are welcomed!

Depends on tank size, would suggest a hydro pack, and stuffing it with a towel to prevent it from flopping around.

Else you could stuff it in a dump pouch, or a paintball specific drop pouch, but you're regulator will be exposed this way.

I ran one in something like a Flyye MBSS backpack on my RRV. It's small but still has space for both my hydro and a tank and it didn't flop around

Was looking at a 68/4500 tank. Not exactly sure on dimensions but I know I seen a 90/4500 fit in the pantacminimap

Dunno, if I was to do HPA again, I would just rock smaller tanks (multiple).

Carrying a 90/4500 and a 68/45 gets to your back after a while.

FYI:

You can get a scuba tank wth a ninja regulator, and just fill it yourself.. Scuba tank refills are about $20, the tank is about $100-200 or so. You could refill your tank like 20 times before that (dependent on size), unless your local field offers free refills..

I run a flatpack on the back of my d3 rig or a hydro pouch on my other rig.

What tanks were you running bioRage? Last nightfall I was running an rpk with two carbon 90/4500 twined together and I didn't have any issues and I have chronic back pain.

Canteen pouches worked well as well, back when I paint balled

Get something under 61CI, new hydrotesting regulations came into effect last fall, pretty much anything under 61CI no long require periodic hydrotesting.

I've got a 61ci tank, I don't expect I'll ever run out of air for any game unless its an extended multiple day sim. Recently got a 48/3000 from a friend so I'll be using that to save on a bit of weight (not that you notice the weight 5 mins into a game anyways).

As for packs, if you're worried about tanks flopping around in a pack, get some foam and use it as spacers; custom cut them to fit your tank and pack and you're good to go.

Cool thanks for info guys I placed the order in yesterday so now the wait. I don't mind paying for hydro tests as 4500 psi is allot of pressure strapped to my spine and in my line of work I have seen how destructive pressure failures can be.

On the scuba tank idea I kinda looked into it but with field fees include fills I'm not super concerned. Plus I'm in bald as prairies here so not many used scuba tanks come up for sale and I don't know if buying a new one just for maybe the odd fill here and there. Tho if you can point me in direction to find used ones I might be interested.

I just tuck it in with my camelback bladder, works just fine.

A hydro pouch is actually the best choice, being it was designed to carry the weight of water, a air tank is about the same weight and size.

If you look at (gasp!) paintball companies, many have purpose built tank pouches designed to hold either smaller (13 cui) or full size (48cui-90 cui) hpa tanks with molle attachments; Full Clip, Valken, Dye, GI Sports just to name a few.

Keep in mind, you are running the Tippmann M4 that don't use a HPA regulator, whereas the Polarstar guys use a HPA regulator on top of the tank. Those paintball pouches will fully expose the HPA regulator for damage.

The hydration pouch can be fully zipper up and allow only the air hose to come out the sides.
