ok guys not sure if this goes here but my questions is what is the difference between company's like well and Echo1?

same as cars, quality, differing models, mostly quality. Some are high quality japanese imports, some are overpriced US made garbage, some are chinese knockoffs.
you'll have to do lots of research on this, but there are plenty of reviews out there.

Yeah I'd recommend researching every gun you want to get. Some companies like vfc and g&g have reputations of being great, but even they have put out guns that are plagued with problems. So just look into every gun that catches your eye.
