59 year old newby
 

Hello group.

59 year old newby here. yes 59. I like the airsoft for their workmanship. I'm not a gamer. I'm in the Vancouver area and I'm having trouble tracking down an age verifier allthough at 59 years old I find it a bit silly but rules are rules. Can anyone direct me to an age verifier out here in Vancouver? The ones on the list don't answer email inquiries.

Welcome! It seems silly perhaps but unlike at the liquor store the admins here can't just look at you and tell. You say you are 59 but what if you are actually 12, or a dog, or both? Of course 12 would be an old dog, and then we couldn't teach you new tricks. I don't know where I was going with this. So again, welcome!

(And regardless of the liquor reference I've not been drinking.)

As they are specialty, fairly rare items - the price is fairly high and it may make more sense to go the domestic retail route (do NOT try to import one of these, it likely will be seized by Customs).

There is at least one advertising retailer that does have a king-arms poly-stock black version listed on their site.

As you said - rules are rules. I'm 45 and physically disabled (relatively speaking) - but for purposes of acquiring these realistic non-restricted firearms for display purposes, or actually gaming them - it's all a lot of fun - if expensive. I'd suggest giving gaming a try at least a time or two - it's definitely a lot of fun.

Would be hard for a 12 year old to look 59. :)

Speaking of 12 year old. Wouldn't that be nice at 59 to go back and start over? Exept for the school part that is.

There's a guy on here ASC name Antique who's 60 ( I know I verified him) and he plays a lot. He sneaks through the bush like a friggin ghost and scares the crap out of you when he mercies you. So your never to old for this sport, Come on out to a game and teach those kids that old age and trickery can go toe to toe with youth and skill!

My father plays... he's 61 ;)

It's been tried and yes, the rules have been put in place for a reason. ID cannot be authenticated over the internet. regardless if you may look old enough, once the admins allow breaking the rules for one person, where does it stop?

Had similar issue with the Verifiers in the Lower Mainland. No one got back to me. SO I went down to Airsoft Gear in Richmond and someone took care of me..
