continues blinking light means motor issues

As freelancer said, the LED flashing means its the motor. If the electronics has issues, the gun will not cycle at all.

Are you using an 11.1v lipo? Cause that usually kills un-modified motors in one game =/

It doesn't do the killing, it just speeds up the inevitable for a motor that is guaranteed to fail anyway.

ptw is supposed to run dry!

Canadian Psycho October 8th, 2012 19:58

when it does cycle, does it do a half cycle then de-cocks the cyclinder?

No gears are supposed to run dry.

ThunderCactus October 10th, 2012 12:58

if you have a problem with grease splatter on the optics, you're not using a thick enough grease!

I may have to tear down my mechbox soon, I'm going to try regreasing the gears lightly with premalube. It's not sap, but it sticks pretty damn well in our CNC lathe chuck at 4000rpm

In most cases from what I've seen is new PTW tend to get overzealous in greasing their TW, I was told by the PTW guru himself that all you need a small coating not a glob, if you cycle your gears and there is a residue on the sides that means it's too much grease There should not be any residue at all.
