Lovely sentiment Grom. In the country in which we live Remberance Day is not recognised, however every year we go into the village and lay flowers at the war memorial. Having been asked for the last 5 years why we do it, some of the locals have now also started lighting candles there on this day (which is a very Slovene tradition).
My Grandfather fought in the second World War, and although he was lucky enough to make it home was never the same man again. I would like to thank all the soldiers past and present for the opportunities that they have given me - To be free and safe. It is a legacy that I will always cherish, and I will never forget the sacrifes made for our generation. Not only be the soldiers, but also by their families. RIP
