1961A integration
Hey guys, I want to integrate (using buckles and nylon) a 1961A onto a plate carrier of sorts, but I'm wondering which carrier would be most appropriate. I'm thinking either a CIRAS, HUGGER, or an MBSS with cummerbund. Any help and suggestions would be awesome.

CIRAS is too bulky to add a chest rig on top. With the choices you said, a Hugger would be your best bet. You really want a sleek carrier to do that.
|
Well than besides the hugger, what other options do I have?
|
I'm more curious why you want to incorporate the 1961A onto an armor carrier? The 1961A will work flawlessly over top of a paca or mayflower AC.

Thats my primary inspiration. Btw, that guy always has great stuff for sale. |
Here was what my old Hugger / LBT1964a combo looked like (sorry bad pics, they are old):
Without the 1964a, the straps are made by Veltye for their Hugger system http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...g/DSC00227.jpg Everything attacked (Note it was actually quite easy to get mags out withe the M203 pouch on top) http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...g/DSC00155.jpg When worn: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...g/DSC00154.jpg |

Sexy combo.

I thought ciras/lbt was a no-go?

I just said that I do not believe it's the best option. But if that's what you want, go ahead.

I miss that Gear-Do Bastard. |
That look bulky. I run a backpack with my RRV. At least that way, I can ditch the pack to get in position confortably.
If I want a camelback, I can put it in the backpack and route the hose trough the antena port of the bag. |
Can anyone with a LBT 1961a (or pantac/flyye replica) tell me if:
A USGI 1qt canteen and/or 1L widemouth nalgene fits inside either the side utility pouch and/or the radio pouch behind it? Thanks... |
hey matt get on msn! yeah it will fit the canteen....and yoda.

To answer my own question I recieved my Flyee LBT 1961a 1st gen replica and it does not fit a USGI canteen at all but does fit a 1L widemouth nalgene in the radio pocket behind the utility pouch. |
