some positive media coverage out of Manitoba
It is nice to have some positive airsoft coverage in the media once in a while...
this is from the M.O.U.T introduction to MILSIM open house event hosted by WOLFPACK Western Battalion, RIP Mike Seggie. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/mul...234#slideshows I like how they included photos of the 'brothel' though...lol http://moutairsoft.com http://www.operationcoldfront.com |
i never understood why an oil refinery had a brothel... i never see them at the refineries i work at this is bull!
was it deliberat the ammount of clearsoft guns and pb helmets/ masks in the pics? or just coincidence. |
Its always good to hear when any group gets behind a positive initiative such as this. And Im glad that your local media was able to call attention towards the remembrance of the man.

most of those clear guns are the kids league guys.. the photographer really liked the fact that we are giving kids a chance to get into the game, how their parents are all really involved and how it gives them a safe and controlled environment to do it.
that and it was a NOOB day so yea we had a lot of guys who have not played yet out. |
Awesome.
Awesome event, Awesome coverage. Ivan enjoyed it greatly :) |
That was a great event,had a blast!
|
Awesome! Great to see good news coverage on the airsoft community. It can only be a positive for us... well except for the part where they call the guns we use replicas...
|
at least they said 'firearm' and not 'weapon'
|
This is a very nice tribute to a true hero. Really hits you when you see his picture.
Well played you guys. |

Great contribution to the sport CT, good to see the patch on a post here on ASC. Also good to see old style Wolfpack mentoring is still alive and well in the west. I still wear the lightning bolt and wolfs' head proudly on my arm...

Nonetheless, it is indeed nice to see airsoft portrayed in a good light in the media for a change :) |
Who knows where media guys get their facts from.
Jay, thanks dude. We will never quit. We will make mistakes but no one will ever be able to say we didn't try. Tech his mother came out for a visit. I escorted her out to the playing field to first watch the youth games, then the big boys. She enjoyed off-roading making knee deep ruts with the Deuce which instantly helped the bond ;) and learning about the game. She opened up and we had great conversations about Mike and his career, lifestyle. She mentioned that her nephew was always after Mike's airsoft guns and wanted to play. She was quite happy and will be bringing him out now that she knows there is such a league here in Manitoba. In the end she started crying and hugged Ed (1LT Matheson) and I, thanking us for showing support. The day was a success at that point. |
The people writing the captions weren't that creative.. "two out of dozens of players"...
|
yea ... but at least they did something, right?
