HighCap mags for High Rate of Fire
hi my friend has an upgraded classic army ak74 with a 9.6v3600mah battery. Im just wondering if there are any highcap magazines that can keep up with the rate of fire it has. The currect highcap can handle about 5 rounds then it starts to miss feed
|
mostly any hicap will
ive never had a feeding problem with 9.6v large batts along with hicaps. even at 20 rounds per second if BBs starts misfeeding though, install a sector clip on the sector gear |
STAR mags, TM lowcaps, or TM hicaps.
I had an AK shooting above 40 RPS (50 RPS is the same as an M134 minigun, average AEG is around 13-17 RPS) and it had no feeding issues with a JG hicap I had. My current M4 shoots 25 RPS and my teammates M4 shoots 32 RPS and neither of us have problems with TM lowcaps or TM, CA, or ICS hicaps. Because I have a sector gear clip I can also run midcaps and it doesn't misfeed till there are less than 30rnds left in the mag, so the first 3/4 of the mag is fine. *Edit* also note that the Madbull chrony is horrible for determining RPS, it registered a G36 I saw at 40 RPS when it was only shooting around 18, registered my M4 at 0.9 RPS and then at 124 RPS. If you use the Madbull chrony around 10 times there should be a trend, but the best method is still with a microphone and software that will show you the sound pattern. |
alright. Doesn't the selector clip mess up the tappet plate sometimes? or what? any info would be greatly appreciated
|
also isnt the clip for double feeding problems? my problem is that it doesnt feed if the trigger is held for longer then a 5 round burst. IT starts to skip feeds
|
it is used for skipping BBs.
it doesnt fuck up the cycle, where did you hear that? i know styrak had a problem using it with modify nozzle but it has never caused a problem with me. |
It was actually a Deepfire nozzle, but yes.
And the sector clip delays the nozzle so that BB's will feed reliably. I needed to install one in my M4 that had a 4000mAh 9.6v large battery, cause that battery is fucking ridiculous. |

And just to be totally random, the new Elite 5000mAh cells actually have a lower amperage supply than the intellect 4200's. The ROF with a 9.6V 4200 intellect is higher than that of a 9.6V 5000. Amperage supply has nothing to do with mAh rating, its reliant on internal resistance. Larger cells have lower internal resistance and lowering the internal resistance often increases the capacity (mAh) but not always. |

He could always buy a drum mag?

drum mag would be kool but do they feed faster or what?

Could make a custom drum mag out of a hicap and an R/C servo motor, thats how my M60 boxmag is done. Or just buy a quality hicap like TM or something.
Question just in case, are you winding the magazine until it makes the clicking sound or only winding the magazine until the BB's appear at the top? It might be a dumb question but its really important with hicaps. |

alright. and yes i was fully winding my highcap to the point where it cant be done any more.

I need to find a sector clip myself. This was a nice little reminder.
