Full Size GBB....Hi-Capa, USP or what....

So I want to get another GBB, a full-size one instead of the compact ones I already have(a KSC G19 and a TM G26). I want to get with the intention of the eventually have a FMU for it, if not already one. I am open to suggestion but I am currently looking at KSC USP or a TM Hi-Capa. WA seems nice but kinda costly(and with FMU will cost even more).

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggest you can provide....

ILLusion January 7th, 2007 00:50

Full Sized?

Tm Hi-Capa with 7" kit on it would be pretty "full sized"...

takatorikku January 7th, 2007 01:00

the USP is great, but i'd go for a hicapa. tons of upgrade options that are easy to get (it took me forever to get a metal kit for my USP) and i'd get one if i could.

well more so than the "compact" G19....nothing as outrageous as a 7".....a 5" will do....:D

ILLusion January 7th, 2007 01:13

I'd recommend a tm hi-capa 5.1, hands down

hattrick January 8th, 2007 00:00

+1 ^^

(4.3 if u wanna keep it simple)

Identity January 16th, 2007 20:44

4.3! O~BABY!

BBS January 16th, 2007 20:52

there are also berettas (M92Fs) , Sig P226. very nice guns.

Oz January 16th, 2007 21:08

I'd go with either a 5.1 hicapa or the 1911A1. Both have snappy, crisp action with great accuracy and range... I find the P226 a little sloppy. The 5.1 is going to be cheaper to make metal as all that is really needed is the slide where as the 1911A1 requires a metal lower aswell. An abundance of upgrades are available for both (more external upgrades for the 5.1, but most internals are cross compatable).

johnnyrico January 18th, 2007 01:25

5.1 all the way man.

Tons of upgrade parts, make it up anyway you like, Black, silver, two-tone, and 31 rounds and a big gas capacity. Even in colder weather with propane I get all of my shots out, my buddies tm 226 like 3-4 shots left in the mag when gas runs out. His tm 1911 slightly worse at 4-5 shots left.

Just my own experience though. We play in around 15C indoors.

My two cents.

agreed
its one bad ass gun.

SuperCkicken January 18th, 2007 22:39

personally, iv always been a fan of the usps look

swatt13 January 18th, 2007 23:46

i got em both, ksc usp and a we dragon 5.1 b. i like em both, both are sweet ass, great weight, accurrate (usp a little better) good kick, but honestly the usp is nicer feeling, wieghted a little better and less complicated takedown. also the hopup is super easy to adjust. and gas lasts forever, i can go 4-5 mags on one fill, on my 5.1, barley one mag... seriously. downside is had a fuck of a time with mag leaks, got that sorted out, but the 5.1 no problem... but i did break the feel lip on one mag... its a toss up. they are both kick ass, but i would reccommend the usp personally. when you put the metal slide on (i reccomend jugglez) its so beautiful (in more ways than one)

Colin_S January 19th, 2007 09:59

Just a clarification, the 5.1 mag problem that swatt13 is talking about only really affects the WE Hi Capa 5.1. TM's have much better gas mileage, not 4-5 like the USP (which is pretty darn awesome!) but I can get about 2 1/2-3 mags per gas charge.

I love my TM Hi Capa 5.1 too. :)

Jayhad January 19th, 2007 10:17

for my full size hand gun I use a KSC Glock 34 with the FMU. I easily outranges a stock TM M4 great accuracy, not to common.

takatorikku January 19th, 2007 14:42

yeah my USP mags can belt out around at leats 100 shots per fill. ridiculous...

Lakonian January 19th, 2007 15:09

60 max for me..

HellRanger January 19th, 2007 15:26

I own a Tm 4.3, that thing rocks out of the box.

I haven't upgraded it yet, don't know if I will, it's my secondary and rarely pull it out unless I need to.

Mafioso_Grande January 19th, 2007 15:58

Any of the new-ish TM guns - Hi-Capa 4.3 or 5.1, 1911 or SIG - is guaranteed to be awesome. I have the 4.3, but have used the 5.1 and SIG and none of them will disappoint you.

I also have a KSC USP, which (as has been mentioned) is ridiculously gas efficient, but it just doesn't have the power and accuracy of the TM's.

Wasn't that gun for sale just recently?

takatorikku January 19th, 2007 17:29

nope. as if i'd sell my baby...

attack-beaver January 19th, 2007 19:20

i was thinking about going for the TM 5.1 but i recently changed my mind and going to get a WGC custom KSC USP .45 full size.

for 3 good reasons (in my books)
1) compared to other guns on the field here its a rare gun
2) as said before insane gas mileage
3) its just plain sexy plus its HK so its good.

thats what i'm looking at

takatorikku January 19th, 2007 19:28

is that a taiwan slide or shooters design?

attack-beaver January 19th, 2007 20:27

no clue but heres the data on WGC

takatorikku January 19th, 2007 20:43

hmm it doesn't look like the taiwan kit since the TW has a slightly gunmetal barrel section, while the slide is black. depending on the price, it might have a shooter's design kit on it, although that would probably be a $100 price jump or so.

attack-beaver January 19th, 2007 20:52

KSC jap version 140 USD
Tai version 104 USD
WGC custom KSC USP .45 154 USD

just looked at the name and it says "GP Custom USP .45 Full Metal"

i have reason to believe the slide in question is this one right here

E-Dub January 19th, 2007 21:40

dead_aim January 19th, 2007 21:50

oh god is it ever, what ever you do, dont buy one. they work great for the first 3 months poor gas mileage, then after that the internals start gumming up and breaking. have fun takeing it apart, its something a little like brain surgery on crack lol. good luck on finding parts, let alone someone who will work on it. also unlike the ksc mag leaks, kjw mag leaks are non repairable (not just isolated to the usp as well, all kjw mags leak and are unrepairable).

apparently the ksc is pretty much a tm clone, where as the kjw is it own.... blasphamey. i had one that developed a trigger issue and couldnt find anyone to fix it, out of despiration i took it apart (being a experienced gun doc) and found myself in well over my head. i couldnt for the life of me get it back together, too many small intricute parts. i eventually sold it a s a paper wieght.

where as my ksc, simple as pie, ive had that apart a dozen times. my only issue was my wgc custom slided (as mentioned above) the chamber block was not drilled out enought to allow the inner barrel to sit in there properly, causing a whole wack of issues. this was easilly remedied by takeing a hand drill and drilling the barrel out myself.

the 5.1 as i said earlier is a great gun too, the big downfall being the poor gas mileage. now my only other concern would be if you drop it.. oh wait, i wouldnt, something will gut fucked up in there.... seriously. but the gun is a tm so it is easy to dissassemble and fairley straight forward to fix. and parts are readily avail.

but, i would still strongly reccommend the usp.

lol $550 and going! I'll beat you one day... Probably when I get a TLR-2 on it hahaha.

and technically, it's triple tone! Silver barrel, black slide and sand grip. Sacriligious, I'm sure.

...And this is where I step in and tell you to stfu ^_^ hahah just kidding. Different strokes for different folks. Oh, and my 4.3 kicks your 4.3's ass all around japan, and china. (western arms biatch)

Taka's Usp is le sex , but he spent $$ to make it look that way. My WAs look super sexy w/o any money invested.

i think i was able to recoup $50 for the two mags (didnt know they leaked untill after the sale) and $30 or $40 for the gun itself, just as a parts gun or paperwieght.

RacingManiac January 21st, 2007 14:10

I just got a Hi-capa 5.1 off a member here, shot it for the first time in my basement, and I have to say I am quite impressed. It can shoot much tighter group then my G19.....though the kick is not as satisfying though....

dead_aim January 21st, 2007 20:49

i like the 4.3's kick better...just got my p226...kick is almost the same...well for me that is

Hahahaha, I gotta say your USP is nice. The two tone makes it look like some Desert Combat gun. Pretty nice I gotta say. My Hi-Capa is practically full metal, but my internals are cracking. They can't handle the metal and propane. I'm hoping to get a new loading nosel + O ring. Also a new hop-up! I still have the infamous 4.3 "bb roll out" problem. The 4.3 and 5.1 hopup packing is very sensitive to silicone oil. :banghead:
My next guns is going to be a 5.1. I'll pimp that out too! :D
So far my handgun collection is worth more than my AEGs!

O yeah, I had a KJW Glock 23! It was fantastic! KJW isn't that bad. Only certian models are screwed up. But the Glock 23 was well made. I had to hand it to them, it was like a TM clone! + metal slide!
Sold it and got myself the 4.3. :D

-=]MH[=-RaiDen January 22nd, 2007 18:51

I heard the KJW M9s were awsome too.

fking USP...

The newer M9 is good. The version 2 full metal. It has a better hop up construction and it fires really nicely. I suggest buyers to get the KJW revision 2 guns. They are fantastic, exactly like TM. Unfortunatly the only v2 out there by KJW are the Glock 23 and the M9.

Invasian June 11th, 2007 15:42

DONT GET THE WGC CUSTOM .45 PERIOD

After not even a month of owning it, using it everyday with propane, the recoil spring guide bar, snapped, ....now i'm trying to find a replacement part...

for something that was supposed to have been solid from the get go...i am more than disappointed..especially since it was a "WGC custom".

J

hattrick June 11th, 2007 16:08

mayyyyybe thats because it was plastic?

Mr Jon June 11th, 2007 16:16

the KSC USP .45 is made of metal. King arms provides a stronger replacement for those who have snapped their recoil rods. Pretty cheap to, you can get them off WGC
