Where do you typically buy your BBs from?

I know every airsoft store sell BBs... but just wondering if there is a typical place where people buy decent BBs at a good price? Would anyone like to share some good local/online retailers?

Is it a good idea to buy BBs from US online retailers?

testtube May 10th, 2012 10:45

BB bastard hands down.

JonsM4 May 10th, 2012 10:45

BB Bastards

Grudge May 10th, 2012 10:50

Well I use to buy BB Bastards all the time, but for the last two years they have been as scarce as hens teeth in Winnipeg. Our local Bastard has been having difficulty getting them in and keeping up a stock.

My team is looking else were to fill the gap!

Could you share a link to the page where they have their 0.20g BBs? I really cant find it on their site.... or do they have a local retail store in GTA?

slink182 May 10th, 2012 11:33

BB Bastards, when I can find the weights (0.25 & 0.28).
Airsoft Central EPS, again, when I can find the weights (0.25 & 0.28).
Otherwise, I'll hit an oversea store for the weights - usually golden ball and madbull.

TBH, if I could, I'd purchase a bulk quantity - between 50K-100K - just so I don't have to worry about supply. The problem is the supply ain't really there. :(

L473ncy May 10th, 2012 11:55

I get them from my local retailer Airsoft Gear

Loved BBBastards but IMO I'm indifferent and get whatever high quality brand I can get my hands on. That includes Green Devils (used these while I was in the UK), Madbull, BBBastard, Excel, Airsoft Elite, Metal Techs/MTMFG, etc. and I've been approached to test out a new brand of BB's which I will do a diligent and through review on.

Brian McIlmoyle May 10th, 2012 12:00

I have .20 and .28 .. some .30 Bastards in stock

Styrak May 10th, 2012 12:10

I can supply the amounts you're talking about slink.

slink182 May 10th, 2012 12:45

That was not a WTB offer - at least, not yet.

Forum rules and all... ;)

Crunchmeister May 10th, 2012 12:52

I was a BB Bastard dealer for a few years. It worked out great because I always had BBs in stock. Until the last year or so when they expanded to international order and were just unable to supply me with the weights that I needed anymore.

Kingsix May 10th, 2012 13:31

personally, this year I'm looking to Bulk buy Bbs.

If I could find their Precision grade Madbulls for that price, I'd be all over it. I've had horrid experiences with their IPSC grade BBs - from jamming and BREAKING inside my mags, to jamming up my tightbore barrels. I wouldn't touch them again based on my experiences with them.

Anyone in GTA want to split a bulk buy? :-)

Grudge May 10th, 2012 13:52

From one of our team orders:

Evike has Matrix BB's many of us use them

Prices

.30g 5000ct = $24.00 USD
.28g 5000ct = $18.00 USD
.25g 5000ct = $13.00 USD
.36g WE BB = $14.00 USD

We're picking up around 50 bags. (various weights)

Warlock May 10th, 2012 14:02

My team rely on Green Devil Bio BB from Bent Barrel Doctor. All the players who know us or play against us are aware that we have a good accuracy ;)

Nevermind, just saw that they dont have a storefront.... so i guess even though they are in Toronto, their products still needs to be shipped.

redneck12 May 10th, 2012 16:26

No store front for Airsoftparts, it is run out of his home. But he has super fast shipping so chances are you will have it a day or 2 after payment.

Juic3 May 10th, 2012 16:31

I recommend you airsoftparts . Took 2 day to get to montreal so in toronto itself...

thats alot of work for BBs...

phloudernow May 10th, 2012 16:55

really depends where u buy, if you buy from overseas, you have to pay shipping and its not worth buying a couple bags, so if you do buy from over seas, you can probably get 40 bags of .25s with about 2500 rounds or so for about 150 USD excluding shipping :) which is pretty good imo, i tend to buy my bbs whenever I'm back in HK, i only spend about 50 bucks max and get like 7 or 8 bags of KSC .25s :)

Well its either this or go to Cabellas and pay $39 per 5000 + tax!:D Or worse yet Walmart! LOL

Our local BB Bastard seller is still waiting (and last update said another month)

As it goes $20 (approx) for 5000 bbs is not bad.

Our teammate is going down to pick up other stuff anyways so this will not be an extra burden for him!

Curo May 10th, 2012 17:18

Well in future I'm just be talking to Viperfish, my local(ish) BB Bastard.

Amos May 10th, 2012 17:31

I normally sell bastards... but as Multitech has said... I'm out!

Grudge May 10th, 2012 18:29

Yeah Amos is our normal pusher...... I mean seller of Bastards. But the season has already started and he is sold out. (and waiting). I'll but more BB's once he has them in but I've already got $40 tied up waiting for the Bastard tracers to come in.

MaciekA May 10th, 2012 21:31

I have to echo what some of the others are saying about BB Bastard.

They're nice and all, but they're impossible to source in bulk for teams, there is no discount, and frankly, I think the company has serious issues in communicating with its customers.

Firstly, they posted a hard promise a while back about how they would never run out of BBs again. Come season opening, everybody is out of Bastards in all sorts of sizes. The company is supposed to be a god damned BB company, our best BB company, and they're off galavanting with stupid night vision shit that nobody except a bunch of NVG nerds care about. Seriously?

I politely suggested a modification to their packaging to allow for more convenient bulk BB sales -- a bottle format as is being used successfully by companies like Elite Force, and I got an extremely weak reply on this idea... after which the NVG conversation resumed.

Bastards may be a quality product but supply issues, distraction with other types of products (goggles, NVG, etc), and such are really turning me away from the company. Our team has switched to bulk orders of ICS BBs, and they're working out great, and are probably the best bang-for-buck bulk option around for teams wanting to shoot lots of BIO BBs.

That said, if BBBastard ever decides to be interested in selling BBs again and even considers better-value formats other than the current bags, I'll be right back supporting my Canadian brand.

Curo May 10th, 2012 22:05

Personally I prefer the bags, bottle impede my speedloaders. And there other products are to bring cheapo skirma softers up to a competitive level with milsim airsofters who have been kicking ass and taking names with real gear. As well as bringing in Quality Optics for GBBR owners. Yet how does that stall their BB sales? It doesn't they can only produce BBs so fast, and currently are likely back ordered. As for bulk sales just to you they do offer them, and if you don't like the bags as you where suggested before why don't you bottle them yourself if its that much better?

This is all well and good and I believe that you believe what you're saying, but it doesn't change my experience with the company.

With regards to "only making BBs so fast", they made a rather showy promise regarding stock (also after a prolonged shortage in their product) and then proceeded to under-invest in their production capacity. Perhaps some of the capital they've spent on NVG or re-badging Chinese optics could have been spent on ramping up production capacity. They're the ones who bragged about orders for millions of BBs from large retailers... it's not like extra production capacity couldn't have gone somewhere.

Simply put, no matter what awesome sauce they're cookin' up for dedicated milsim players, it doesn't change that they ran out of their primary product in a big public way twice in a row, with the second time coming after a claim that it wouldn't happen again.

As for bulk sales, where? There are other brands that offer actual bulk in the sense that I can put it in a cart and have it delivered to my house. If there's some way to do that with Bastards, I'm listening. I'd love to give them a big order and stock up for the season.

Scarecrow May 11th, 2012 15:56

You can look in the retail thread for a disclosure on the BBB supply issues, I won't belabour it here.

There are bulk discounts available, they depend on where you are in relation to our shipping location in Ontario and the side of your order, but it starts at $300 and up, then you start seeing discounts in your cart. There are also other programs that have discounts associated with them that people take advantage of.

As for the other products we are carrying, those products don't interfere with making and selling BBs, those are products we've had many customers ask us to carry and also enable us to keep the company going during the off seasons by rounding out the store SKUs. It may look odd to you, but its revenue thats allow us to hire Derek as our first employee.

Talk to us next time you want to do a bulk order, we're listening too.

Killyin May 14th, 2012 00:36

I get BBs when I wander over to Mach1Airsoft. They're right down the street. :D

Deaf_shooter May 14th, 2012 01:15
