Green Laser?
Im looking for a good reliable source to a site that sells a green laser to be mounted on guns, preferable comes with a mount or is designed for guns. None of that pen B/S.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
I don't want to blow your dream, but green lasers are not safe for games. They are way too bright and can damage your eyes.
If you find one that is less than 500$, tell me. ;-) I really like green laser and searched all over the net for them. I found some, that sold for about 200$ can. They where in a small pen form with a pressure switch and could be mounted with a signe scope ring. But again, they are too bright. |

I found this, nice and cheap but im not a fan of ebay, maybe you are. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...161493034&rd=1 |
There is a difference between a class II laser (most red lasers used in airsoft) that are safe to look at, and a powerfull class III green laser that can make you permanently blind. In some case, after little exposure.
I don't bitch about player with lasers, as I have one myself, but I would drool over your green laser and then seriously bitch about it. ;-) The one you found on Ebay is the cheapest I saw... but Im like you, I don't like Ebay... |
Ahh, even though I dont like ebay I bid on one of the lasers. Maybe Ill get it, expensive though. 400 bucks almost.
|
Good luck
If you ever get it and mount it on your AEG, take a lot of pics for me! |
Maybe this can help...
Maybe not I think this is the laser used in the movie AVP http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/index...rom=&go=search http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/news/...k/edm-P(1).jpg |
I found one here for 100$ US. It's not the kind that can be mounted to an AEG but it's pretty cool, a friend of mine has one.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/5a47/ I'v orderd stuff from thinkgeek before, reliable online retailer. |
a green laser would be damn cool, and even more frightening if its pointing at you
and yes some pics would be sweet |
Ill let you know as soon as I mount it on my SR-15 or Freedom Fighters old SR-15.
|
Just to let you know, most green lasers can only been seen with night vision. AVP has computer graphics do the work to make the green lasers appear.
|
They wouldn't be called green if you couldn't see them.
Green lasers of equivalent mW output to red lasers appear brighter because the human eye is more sensitive to green. |

You can see green lasers same as you would with red. If you actually want to see the beam, and not just the point of contact you would need mist/fog/smoke or whatever to catch the light of the beam. |
You can actually see green laser beams through the air without the need for fog/mist/smoke. It's a very striking effect.
It's due to the fact that your eye can seen the colour green much more readily than red (more green photoreceptors in your eye) and you'll be able to see it reflecting off particles in the air. |
K, time to chime in Orby!
Here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/bgrgu At the bottom of the page You can order into Canada and it'll be about $60 + $12 shipping. With these you can mount them anywhere or put them in some housing and use two AAA batteries and a pressure switch. I personally am going to order three of the red lasers and then have a triangle pattern target and house that in some custom housing and mount it to my P90! |

I was in the impression it was the wattage output that caused problem. The wavelengt is just the color "output".
At the same wattage, Green look brighter, because our eye is more sensitive to the green wavelenght (like everyone said, more Green receptors in the eye bla bla...) As for the IR laser, If the Wattage is as hight as those IIIa laser, even if you don't see the beam, I would assume it would cause damages to the eyes. |
well i got the laser today, damn this thing is bright. I stared into it for a few seconds. lol joking. Anyways yeah its bright, I feel like my eyes have to adjust to it even in daylight, my camera sucks at taking photo's of it because it adjusts its own lens and everything gets more brighter. Anyways I took some pics, im trying to upload them now. Ill show you guys asap what it looks like.
Its just sooo damn sexy. |

No, take your time.. but make it fast! hahah Can you fit it on your AEG? do you feel it's safe to play with? How much did it cost you after shipping and all? |

Damns, it's expensive for a toy that you can't really use in game.
I wanted to put one on my M24, so I can let people know that they are about to get sniped, but at the same time, I don't want to both "kill" them and make them blind for real. |

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/gallery...hp?imageid=836 http://www.airsoftcanada.com/gallery...hp?imageid=837 The last image is of me trying to take a pic of the laser with the beam but its pretty hard to get my crappy camera to focus the beam, the lens is kinda just flaring, check it out. |
Damn.. It's very nice!!
I'd sell my sister for that! I don't have a sister  |
If I ever see anyone at a night game Ill show you guys forsure. My camera just isnt meant for something like this.
|
ooooooo pretty :P
|
Is the laser effective in the day?
|
i think it should be, or at least alot more effective than red lazers
|
those links hate firefox
|
The laser is pretty visible during the day. I can see it when I shine it out my window and on a tree outside about 30-40 feet away. When its being shined into the bright sun light though its very hard to notice the dot, you can but its like looking at a red dot during the day outside. At night though its just simply amazing.
|
Very nice, can't wait to see it.
