Green Laser?

Im looking for a good reliable source to a site that sells a green laser to be mounted on guns, preferable comes with a mount or is designed for guns. None of that pen B/S.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't want to blow your dream, but green lasers are not safe for games. They are way too bright and can damage your eyes.

If you find one that is less than 500$, tell me. ;-)

I really like green laser and searched all over the net for them. I found some, that sold for about 200$ can. They where in a small pen form with a pressure switch and could be mounted with a signe scope ring. But again, they are too bright.

I know its bright and all, lasers tend to be but people still tend to us them and they can blind people but that doesnt stop them. Either way I still am looking for one.

I found this, nice and cheap but im not a fan of ebay, maybe you are.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...161493034&rd=1

FOX_111 June 8th, 2005 20:24

There is a difference between a class II laser (most red lasers used in airsoft) that are safe to look at, and a powerfull class III green laser that can make you permanently blind. In some case, after little exposure.

I don't bitch about player with lasers, as I have one myself, but I would drool over your green laser and then seriously bitch about it. ;-)

The one you found on Ebay is the cheapest I saw... but Im like you, I don't like Ebay...

Future_Sniper_ June 8th, 2005 21:10

Ahh, even though I dont like ebay I bid on one of the lasers. Maybe Ill get it, expensive though. 400 bucks almost.

FOX_111 June 8th, 2005 21:28

Good luck

If you ever get it and mount it on your AEG, take a lot of pics for me!

Metro June 8th, 2005 23:14

Maybe this can help...
Maybe not
I think this is the laser used in the movie AVP

Hawkzor June 9th, 2005 09:44

I found one here for 100$ US. It's not the kind that can be mounted to an AEG but it's pretty cool, a friend of mine has one.

I'v orderd stuff from thinkgeek before, reliable online retailer.

the end June 9th, 2005 18:22

a green laser would be damn cool, and even more frightening if its pointing at you
and yes some pics would be sweet

Future_Sniper_ June 10th, 2005 01:31

Ill let you know as soon as I mount it on my SR-15 or Freedom Fighters old SR-15.

ODA June 14th, 2005 21:38

Just to let you know, most green lasers can only been seen with night vision. AVP has computer graphics do the work to make the green lasers appear.

MadMax June 14th, 2005 21:49

They wouldn't be called green if you couldn't see them.

Green lasers of equivalent mW output to red lasers appear brighter because the human eye is more sensitive to green.

Uhhh, I'm pretty sure your thinking of IR lasers?

You can see green lasers same as you would with red. If you actually want to see the beam, and not just the point of contact you would need mist/fog/smoke or whatever to catch the light of the beam.

ILLusion June 14th, 2005 22:02

You can actually see green laser beams through the air without the need for fog/mist/smoke. It's a very striking effect.

It's due to the fact that your eye can seen the colour green much more readily than red (more green photoreceptors in your eye) and you'll be able to see it reflecting off particles in the air.

section5 June 14th, 2005 22:03

K, time to chime in Orby!

Here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/bgrgu At the bottom of the page

You can order into Canada and it'll be about $60 + $12 shipping.
With these you can mount them anywhere or put them in some housing and use two AAA batteries and a pressure switch.

I personally am going to order three of the red lasers and then have a triangle pattern target and house that in some custom housing and mount it to my P90!

you're right, but these green lasers are 50 times more bright than red lasers due to their 532nm wavelength ... if that means anything. just remember, you point that at someone, chances are, they're gonna go blind. ... same with infrared lasers ...

FOX_111 June 17th, 2005 00:05

I was in the impression it was the wattage output that caused problem. The wavelengt is just the color "output".

At the same wattage, Green look brighter, because our eye is more sensitive to the green wavelenght (like everyone said, more Green receptors in the eye bla bla...)

As for the IR laser, If the Wattage is as hight as those IIIa laser, even if you don't see the beam, I would assume it would cause damages to the eyes.

Future_Sniper_ June 20th, 2005 12:12

well i got the laser today, damn this thing is bright. I stared into it for a few seconds. lol joking. Anyways yeah its bright, I feel like my eyes have to adjust to it even in daylight, my camera sucks at taking photo's of it because it adjusts its own lens and everything gets more brighter. Anyways I took some pics, im trying to upload them now. Ill show you guys asap what it looks like.

Its just sooo damn sexy.

Make it quick! I can't wait! :p

No, take your time.. but make it fast! hahah
Can you fit it on your AEG? do you feel it's safe to play with?
How much did it cost you after shipping and all?

To be honest, the cool factor is just way to cool on it, but the cost behind it was just to much. The product it self I paid 426 dollers for with shipping, when it showed up today the government wanted $43.43 more. all in all its alot and I think personally its only safe in the right hands. I wouldnt trust a newbie with one of these things. Class IIIA laser. Fits my SR-15 perfect. Ill try and get some nice pics up soon.

FOX_111 June 20th, 2005 21:57

Damns, it's expensive for a toy that you can't really use in game.

I wanted to put one on my M24, so I can let people know that they are about to get sniped, but at the same time, I don't want to both "kill" them and make them blind for real.

The last image is of me trying to take a pic of the laser with the beam but its pretty hard to get my crappy camera to focus the beam, the lens is kinda just flaring, check it out.

FOX_111 June 20th, 2005 22:08

Damn.. It's very nice!!
I'd sell my sister for that!
I don't have a sister

Future_Sniper_ June 20th, 2005 22:10

If I ever see anyone at a night game Ill show you guys forsure. My camera just isnt meant for something like this.

Pip June 21st, 2005 10:00

ooooooo pretty :P

swat2 June 21st, 2005 10:09

Is the laser effective in the day?

Mr_Steezy June 21st, 2005 10:18

i think it should be, or at least alot more effective than red lazers

HGI June 21st, 2005 12:53

those links hate firefox

Future_Sniper_ June 21st, 2005 15:13

The laser is pretty visible during the day. I can see it when I shine it out my window and on a tree outside about 30-40 feet away. When its being shined into the bright sun light though its very hard to notice the dot, you can but its like looking at a red dot during the day outside. At night though its just simply amazing.

keg057 June 21st, 2005 15:59

Very nice, can't wait to see it.
