Ah, I see. So it was how it was stacking after all. I'll definitely give that a shot next time I load my magazines.

Thanks.

I have a noob question about the metal kits, i have relatives in the states if i was to have it shipped to them then pick it up when i go visit, would i be able to legally bring it back into Canada? how are you going to get your gun back into Canada RacingManiac?

No, unless you have a Business Firearms License and you are importing it for the purpose of your business.

I am not crossing that bridge(figuratively speaking) anytime soon. When I do I'll figure something out....:D

O___O

Personally, I don't like compensator unless your building a dedicated real steel race gun. But cause your 1911 is so beautiful I don't care :)
I'm planning on putting the Pachmayr (dunno bout spelling) auto american legend grips when I get my MEU SOC, they have rubber finger grooves and side panels (the center of them) but the rest of the grip is wood.

RacingManiac August 29th, 2008 22:45

I know the American Legend grip, but for some reason they just looks sorta odd....and they are also not made for magwell...

random 1911 pic....

Well, do you know it the American legend grips are weighed like yours?
and I don't like mag wells anyway :\

RacingManiac August 29th, 2008 23:19

maybe go post in Krame's TM pistol thread to ask him about that....he had those grips for his WE1911 before....

My TM 1911's on the way. I really liked the first stages of the gun, but extended magwell, ambi safety, comp. etc just isnt for me.
I'll install a Guarder National Match frame&slide, Threaded outer barrel w/chamber, the same trigger that you have, extended slide release, real wood grips and likely a ring hammer. I really like the traditional 1911 look.
But it's a good thing that you didnt install rails :D

Anyways, awesome project! How much did the entire project cost you, w/shipping prices and mags?
