start using the Hi-Capa 5.1's stock guiderod in place of the busted 9ball one. Had to cut off the little knubby underneath the hop-up chamber for the regular 1911 spring base...

So this project is now proceeding.....parts are ordered and probably will be in hand sometime next week...

So I just ordered the following items...
Nova SFA kit
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=24362
Nova SFA beavertail
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=24354
Nova Wilson Extended Mag Release
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=24610
Guarder Springs
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=19145

From PDI(x-fire):
Nash Comp
http://www.x-fire.org/tm_m1911/e.comp_nash.html
Delta Hammer
http://www.x-fire.org/tm_m1911/e.hammer_delta.html
Palsonite Sear
http://www.x-fire.org/tm_m1911/e.sear_pal.html

My plan is to refinish the Nova kit to be something close to this state(I know its kimber but I prefer the SFA style engraving):
http://www.kimberamerica.com/pistols/eclip...ipse_custom_II/
including the side of the comp, and I am going to stick with my SD stainless barrel instead of the Nova aluminum one....

down the line when Marui MEU comes out I'll get its mag(with bumper) and I'll get the Nova SFA MSH with magwell:

well...watch this space for update hopefully in a few weeks' time....

In case you are wondering I am living in Michigan now.....:D The benefit of a US job....

All of your links are pooched. Don't cut and paste from a processed vBulletin posting. If you're going to cut & paste, do it from the editable text, not what's displayed - long URL's are chopped.

fixed....

RacingManiac July 14th, 2008 20:46

so the parts came and I put it together without too much problem, other than the usual tightness of the BBU for Nova kits....I am considering two-toning it still, but for now I'll leave it black.....

Whats left I think, most of the internal work still needs to be done(nozzle, piston, maybe AS BBU). And that Nova MSH with magwell, and perhaps an ambi-safety....plus the new MEU mag with bumper....

Look back at the first picture. It's hard to believe you're looking at the same M1911A1. Nicely done.

the_griffinator July 14th, 2008 21:27

Love the comp :). Nice gun.

Daiviet July 14th, 2008 21:29
