Go with the desert locust, why? cuz replacement lenses are readily available and you can also get thermal lenses.

I used mesh for years, but never in a CQB situation, as the likelihood of a close up shot was higher, but outdoors I did many times with never a frag problem. The increased air circulation and lack of fog were enough for me to accept the risk, it also depends on the field as well, some private fields will allow it, but most public fields won't.

I use to wear mesh as well but with more and more games with Bio BB's I am not going to chance my eyes on fragments, seen alot of Bio BB's break and shatter in CQB enviroments ....especially when I spent $5000 on lazer eye surgery,

Ive bought a pair of mesh goggles as an extreme backup in case the goggles were unbearable with fog. I haven't had to resort to using them since buying them.

I like the idea of full seal mesh goggles vs glasses though. I think the danger of ricochets off cheeks or lowers under and inside of glasses is greater than a bb breaking through mesh.
