YOU HAVE BEEN QUOTED! if i sell one calendar i expect to see a video posted here of you eating your boonie cap!

Goddess-of-War May 7th, 2009 14:43

Interested

Hey,

I love the idea and I am interested to take part in this project. I'm from Ontario, Toronto. I know lots of photographers so that isn't an issue for me. I think the issue I have read is there are a few number of girls who play Airsoft like Lethal Barbie and me. Lethal Barbie, nice pics BTW!

Let me know what I can do to help!

Cheers:)

R.I.T.Z May 7th, 2009 14:55

cool, finally a girl from ontario. that means we only have about 5 more girls left!

R.I.T.Z May 7th, 2009 15:13

whoops sorry.
okay but still this is coming along quite nicely. now we need to make sure that the forms are being used and photo's start being taken, along with the last girls should be found soon

You can't read. I said "If you can find 12 women across this country who play airsoft, AND are attractive enough to entice someone to buy a calendar featuring them, I'll eat my boonie."

You still need 12 women :)

Barbie May 7th, 2009 19:49

Glad to see another girl on board... Welcome Godess...
And Madmorbius, if you dont like the girls you see so far, who is forcing you to buy a calendar, really??? No need to be mean to the girls here and say they dont look good... It's just not nice, i think... I have met a few girls, and they are all pretty, and like i said, maybe we aint megan Fox, but i doubt you look like Hugh Jackman or Zac Effron...

He doesn't but I do... and I'm not eating my boonie... they're expensive...lol.

But seriously... I think the calendar is a great idea and the girls don't have to be models just everyday folks having a good time doing what they enjoy. Nothing more nothing less....

Cheers.

pusangani May 7th, 2009 20:54

mmmm Zac Efron...

i think he was joking. if i may say so, i think the general consensus here is that both girls who have posted so far ARE in fact quite pretty. the fact that they are also keen for becoming involved in said project speaks volumes about their character and their desire to grow the sport and show how its not just for guys. as for other girls, the only other one that comes to mind, was CG, who IMHO, fits the bill perfectly. I believe she had a short stint on the CBC broadcast about airsoft. Other than her i dont know of any other girls who play the sport save for Lisa and some of the guy's wives.

Glad I could be the one to bring it up. lmao

C.G May 7th, 2009 22:23

lol...yea
hiya.
thanks for the competency compliment, as I lack the ability to chew gum and walk at the same time.
lol, I think, though I shouldn't ever talk for the rest of us, those that have not posted, ie., sniperchic, mizfit, arwen, spider, innocent, laike, mouse... there are a-lot of females, especially in Ontario that play, we're not far and few.
As for myself, not the fact I don't support the sport, but I haven't played as heavy as I have in past seasons, to negate that excuse, it's just not my thing... and again, more then likely why other women of the sport, on this forum just haven't replied.
I thank ya a ton for the honorable mention lol and the 'pose' options (lol BR bike.. nice one!) but yeah... that just aint for me, at all.
But the rest of you have a blast with it, and hope your endevours and all that come to fruition and ya make some good coin or at least lol be able to cover your over head..
cheerios.

DemiBlitz May 8th, 2009 00:37

Hey, I said you need TWELVE attractive females, and never said you didn't have any already :)

And no, I don't look like Hugh Jackman, but I do okay. Besides, if I ever get desperate I can just drizzle some bacon fat down my washboard abs and hang around a call center for a while. Nothing attracts the pork like glistening bacon-dipped sculpted abdominals!

What was your record for consecutive games attended in a season?

for the organizers of this calendar...
you may want to directly contact some of the local clubs to generate interest.
not all players from across Canada are registered on ASC.
creates a broader base

whoopie!

looks like we're nearing the 12 girl mark.
as for a release date the photo's will be done through out this year and we will have a calendar to realese to the general public early next year since we're already half way through this one!

I'm glad to see something that i blurted out on the boards is getting such a great response, I haven't been able to get out and play this year as of yet, due to college and rent issues, but mark my words you will see a black helmet with R.I.T.Z on the back of it popping around a corner with a camera and a gun.

keep it going girls, glad to see everyone is getting on board.

and MadMorbius i'll bring a video camera myself and tape you chowing down on your boonie!

Christina-NAG May 11th, 2009 15:54

girls calender

well look at this :-)
brilliant work R.I.T.Z hope you can get this sorted!

would be interested to know how many copies you are getting printed and whats happening to the profits of the calender ?
is the money going towards getting these girls into the sport and also helping them , like the National Airsoft Girls calender is?

Glad to see theres more girls getting into it and doing there bit for airsoft in calender.. girls im sure you gonna have a real laugh doing it.

Weve started doing our shoots for our one and make up was running with tears! lol

Some of the girls in the pics appear to be non-airsofters (at least at the time the pic was taken): specifically, Miss April is a picture of PFC Janelle Zalkovsky, Civil Affairs Unit 1-320th Field Artillery, 101st Airborne, taken in Ibriam Jaffes, Iraq. Furthermore, there may be a copyright by either the author (Spc. Charles W. Gill) or the US DoD; unauthorized use (specially in something that is being sold commercially) could earn you some trouble.

And Miss Feb is clearly a wallpaper from BRII.

That is a mock up that my designer from fast car magazine put together for us. Just to show people what sort of thing we are going for.
The pictures will not be used when we go to print.
Everything we are doing is all above board I can assure you, Our calender will be produced using girls from throughout the Airsoft sport doing there thing either out in the field or in one of the staged photoshoots for example our Ubisoft entertainment commisioned shoot that will be based on a Tom clancy game.

I commend the people behind your one as its not an easy task, if you need any advice or assistance with it please let me know.
Weve been planning this for over six months now and received mainstream sponsorship of the calendar and 100% of the profits will be going back to the National Airsoft Girls community to help assist the females out there stay in the sport and recruit further.

Good luck R.I.T.Z it should serve as a great tool to show other girls that there not alone!

:-)

I will be attending the SSAT Game, Sunday May 24th - Outdoor -
so look for me if your comming out

Goddess-of-War May 16th, 2009 20:22

Hey,

Can I suggest that you make a break down of what has been done and what still needs to be done. So this way I can prioritize myself and possibly arrange photoshoots with professional photographers. And perhaps for other girls who need help with getting a photographer in the Toronto area. :) I am so looking forward to this project! Let's do this!

BlackRain May 18th, 2009 19:21

The layout design looks good.... is that going to be the final layout style?

R.I.T.Z May 19th, 2009 09:21

to do list;

list girls interested in calendar
January =
February =
March =
April =
May =
June =
July =
August =
September =
October =
November =
December =

organize 12 or more girls to pose for pictures.

find photographers who are willing to take these pictures.

fill out model and property release forms.

produce head shots of all the girls.

send release forms along with head shot to me sin-photography@live.ca for legal records.

model and photographer along with property owner should receive a copy of the release as well.

Organize the photographs, and begin layout.

post draft images for feedback

tweek anything that needs to be done.

begin uploading to internet for sale.

SELL CALENDARS!

Gerkraz May 20th, 2009 06:42

I can do the photoshoot in Newfoundland.

R.I.T.Z May 20th, 2009 12:02

i don't think we have any girls out there...

Goddess-of-War May 25th, 2009 13:51

Hmmm...Okay.

So I see it as...We have 12 months in one year and we have 10 provinces and three territories in Canada. So if it seems to be very difficult to find girls, why don't we get one girl from each region to represent each territory. So it would be a calendar with girls from all over Canada and not focusing specifically on one calendar with 12 girls from one territory. Because from my understanding, the idea is to create, for example, a calendar specific to Ontario and have girls from Ontario in the calendar representing each month. Is that right? So I think it would be more practical and more efficient to have one girl from each province represent a different month.

What do you all think?

Cheers!

brianch May 25th, 2009 14:35

I will be in BC in a few weeks and right now in Ontario. If anyone needs me to be the photographer I could. Have tons of equipment.

safx May 25th, 2009 16:34

I'm pretty sure most women who play
airsoft aren't keen on being oogled by
the players they meet face to face or
being spank material for nerdo–pervo's
across the country.

You've got the internet, the pages won't
get stuck together, what more could you
want?

Danneichh May 25th, 2009 18:11

how about pictures of girls you might actually meet?

BloodSport May 25th, 2009 21:01

should be 13 months, most Calendars typically include the Jan. of the following year. Atleast all the ones I buy do.

well my original plan was to have a calendar for each region but, finding enough girls wanting to be in a single calendar seems to be tough enough so i scrubbed that idea. right now i'm focusing on one calendar for Canada

Dude, I am relaxed. Maybe you should
take the second half of your own advice.

It's simply my opinion, and since this is
what a forum is for, I gave it. If you don't
like what I said, feel free to ignore it. But
it's also the feeling of a few females who
play in Toronto. Just an FYI.

Maybe we need an ASC thread for singles
looking to hookup? The real thing is a lot
better than a calendar.

If you had read the WHOLE thread, you would have seen that this is not a Bikini calendar (except, maybe, if there's Crunch in his multicam speedo. ouch! my brain still hurts from that one) They are talking about action shots in full gear and not just sexy modeling poses. It's more of a tool to show that the sport isn't just full of big boys with cool toys and that girls can play little soldier too!

And by reading the thread you will also see that ACTUAL FEMALE players are interested in this calendar (in the format stated above).

It's ok to post your opinion, But before you flame a project like this, you should read the opinions of the concerned parties and not just assume that they don't like it.

Yah I read it, sad read really...

Mostly little boys wanting to see
some chics, preferably ones they
find attractive in less gear the
better. And some of the gals find
this idea attractive and fun, which
it might be, but for obvious
reasons lots will decline as they
prefer to be treated as players,
not meat on the field for nerds to
try a pick-up line with. I've seen
weird guys in airsoft stalk other
guys... lets keep them the target.

And like RITZ said on May 5th,
he's looking for all opinions— good
and bad.

R.I.T.Z May 26th, 2009 14:13

yes one opinion, but you don't seem to want to quit, okay yes some girls won't want to pose and thats fine by me

your against it okay what ever leave it at that, but don't blast my idea so far i've gotten alot of positive feedback from the men and girls alike.

also i don't need your sarcastic remarks about starting a dating thread, just leave it alone you gave your opinion so move on. if you've got no more positive things to say please leave.

If I thought that this whole thread had nothing positive to say...could we have it removed?

R.I.T.Z May 26th, 2009 14:28

and yet if you read it theres alot of positive so no you can't.
your all entitled to you opinions, but don't butcher the project and ideas
its simple enough to just say, i don't agree with this for such and such a reason.
but to go on and say that this is for "little boys" i find a little offensive. okay your against it leave it at that. don't keep going on and on about how this is a bad idea, and theres alot of girls who don't want to do it, and so on. listen this is a tribute to the girls who play, they will be fully clothed in gear and posed in real enviroments.

m102404 May 26th, 2009 15:02

I have read this entire thread...I do that before posting. If people who didn't agree with this idea didn't post and simply left...how would you ever know that there were people who didn't agree with this idea? I know a couple of female players who rarely post on this forum...and, wrong or not, I suspect that they would most likely be dissuaded from posting if they were going to be rebutted as in how you reply when a less than "Yeah, I'd buy one!" post is made.

I can only surmise that the second half of what your last post was directed elsewhere. Don't like how someone phrases something for emphasis...well, it's the Internet and this is a public forum.

Personally, I'm not saying that this is a horrendous idea...plenty of guys take pictures of themselves and their teammates all geared up at games. Not sure that they'd make a coffee table book out of it or not. Teams make websites, team forums, blow up photos for wallpaper, etc...

I do think this Airsoft Girls Calendar thing (that is the title of the thread) is weird...but hey, whatever floats your boat I suppose. I'd agree that there are some good female shooters out there for sure...tribute the hell out 'em (I'd wonder which ones would have responded to you to indicated their participation...).

Personally, I think that it would be truer to the spirit of things if you ended up taking a collection of shots from all the games across Canada...guys and/or girls...and made up a calendar of that. From what I've seen in the other sections there are some amazing action shots (in game or posed).

Just my $0.02...as always, feel free to ignore...

well the point was to get as many girls as possible who play airsoft from across Canada to pose in their gear either in game or otherwise and sum it all together, i posted a rough draft of what i thought would be good with my own picture. a photo a mug shot a short blurb. all about the girls who we rarely see out there and who kick ass, I've had at least 7 girls say their interested, Lethalbarbie showed a lot of interest. Cloves seems to want to get in on this too. Goddess-of-War seems interested as well. as for your opinion i respect it, though some people get on my nerves when they continue to post their negative opinions once is enough to get it across. though brian has posted more than once but i appreciate his points simply because he brings up some small issues which i myself would have probably over looked, sometimes the negative can be a good thing, but post after post of your opinion about how this is a bad idea, isn't helpful at all

Barbie May 26th, 2009 15:30

Well we all knew not everybody would be happy with the idea... It's ok, lets not worry about it... Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and forums are really good for that... I am still positive about the idea, and so are other girls i talk to, but i can understand the ones that dont wanna pose, and that is totally ok... If they think it will represent them as object, i totally understand that... so on that note, lets leave it there, and the ones that are interested, lets keep going...

Kokanee May 26th, 2009 15:40

Been likewise following this thread for a while, and for better or worse, this seems to be pretty much like what the "Michigan Militia" did a while back;

http://www.michiganmilitia.com/frien...y/gallery2.htm (just screams "cultured" doesn't it?)

I'm pretty sure that this endeavour will do nothing but dig us deeper into the hole that the liberal media in this country views has put us in. Only once the community produces a "Airsoft Girls of Canada" calendar, they'll be able to portray us as even more redneck/hickish than before.

This seems like it's gonna go ahead anyway, but I do agree that a general themed Canadian airsofting calendar (featuring the work of some of the extremely talented photographers we have at games) would be received more positively and have higher sales.

Don't ask for opinions next time then – you obviously have no patience for anyone else’s perspective nor an open mind and mechanism to process negative feedback. Just tell it like it is – “I have an arrogant idea, I found others who support it, I don’t care about any effect it might have, I am going to do it. KThxBye”

You’re PRODUCT has become more important to you than you IDEA.

I did not follow this thread at all. But I saw some linked examples in this page.

I see that when people think "girls with guns" they think of a nice girls dressed in cheap, korny military outfits in front of a background smiling and looking stupid.

IMO, that's a waist of efforts and, like it was said here, give us a bad image.

If I where to produce that thing and make the photoshoot, I'd go with a more serious look, on location, with no "cheap sexual" aproach.

I'd set the girls, well geared, in a little scenario, as if they where doing real military or police stuff. Not just showing their whites teeths and boobs.

Or, if locations where not avelable, I'd got GTF2 style (refering to the GTF2 posters), with dark, mysterious looking girls comming from nowhere in the dark, looking deadly but still cute behind the gear.

T-Hell May 26th, 2009 18:03

Think an Airsoft Calendar would be an Awesome Idea... Can do individual pics (Staged) and action as well as team tactical pictures (Staged would be easier) of some type of action Using real Airsoft players no matter what the sex is... this is a showcase shoot not a "Sex shoot"

would be into doing that for Manitoba...

well the first idea was to get a calendar for each province.
after looking around that idea was scrubbed due to the fact theres not enough girls intersted in each province.

this was never going to be a girl in a bikini with a gun or some plastic cheap halloween costume posing. no this is for real girls

all real girls
in all real gear
in real situations

C.G May 26th, 2009 18:56

^ uhm.. i thought that's what AAR game posted pictures were for.. there. calandar complete, done free.
men and women of all ages and all locations playing.. geared up in "real situations"..
no models to hunt, no fees for photographers, and there for everyones browsing enjoyment..
. the end. - fin. - ...
as said, can't and won't talk for anyone, just for myself, this idea makes me uncomfortable, kudos and props to those gutsy and willing..
one girl, one players opinion..
im done with viewing/posting in this thread..
good luck again with bringing it to fruition, finding buyers and covering overhead (I don't mean this in a rude, cruel or nasty way, honestly.. the thread just creeps me out a bit..)
