That last pic is of a Tanaka. Mine is marked exactly the same. Funny you can almost make out the "A" of Tanaka just before the Works.

Exact same serial number as well.

Boyso October 16th, 2011 23:21

Could they have re-used the same molds?

I confirm that these pics are from IWA 11 and from G&G's booth.

(Whatever it means) :D

Then G&G cloned a Tanaka right down to the Tanaka trades lol.

Save the pic, rotate it 180 deg, then you can read below the Mod 98 and serial number "ASGK MFG TANAKA WORKS"

Boyso October 17th, 2011 21:52

Actually the wood seems "different" in the last pic.

It could be a Tanaka in that last pic.

Aararghggh

There seems to be 3 sets of pictures there... the first ones are clearly taken from a G&G booth, note the white table on the background. The tangent sight close up seems to have been taken in a studio. While the last 3 bolt close ups were taken on the black table... My bet is someone mixed up pictures from a tanaka in the bunch.

I wish KTW would change their extremely flamboyant and flaming homosexual magazine system

Boyso November 10th, 2011 19:00

Well when the airsoft version costs 5x the cost of a real one, it's hard to understand they still make airsofts (and that they sell)

agreed at that price you might as well buy a beater RS and convert it... or just buy one and shoot rs....

K98

Oh I want that Kar 98 from G&G! Tanaka is out of my price range, and hard to find. so hopefully they have done a good job on this gun and a better price! If it gets a good review it will be mine!!

TaroBear November 10th, 2011 19:24

My experience with kTW parts, and my research into KTW guns had led me to believe that they make really expensive, low quality, but nice looking shelf queen guns.

shiftsup November 10th, 2011 19:37

Pretty sure that most if not all KTW products are intended for the Japanese collector market and not much else.
